VOXL 2 issue connecting with RC
-
Good afternoon team,
I am running into an issue with VOXL 2 communicating with the RC, transmitter, and QGC. The hardware being used is the Spektrum AR6210 DSMX and DXS RC controller. The RC and transmitter are bound and is utilizing the J19 port: https://docs.modalai.com/voxl2-rc-configs/ I have followed the documentation: https://docs.modalai.com/qgc-wifi/ https://docs.modalai.com/sentinel-user-guide-pre-flight-setup/#rc-radio-setup and video from https://docs.modalai.com/voxl-m500-quickstart/ with no luck. Could you point me to documentation that allows the drone to still connect to QGC while the RC and transmitter is bound? Any help is greatly appreciated.

@Alexander-Saunders, any update on this?

Spektrum AR6210
We use the SPM9745 receiver and have never tried the model that you are trying. Others have had issues with various Spektrum transmitters. Here is a link to a different forum post about that: https://forum.modalai.com/topic/2703/voxl2-spektrum-receiver-error. The transmitter we use is https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/dx6e-6-channel-dsmx-transmitter-only/SPMR6655.html. The connection with RC and with QGC are two completely separate things. Are you also not able to connect to QGC?

@Eric-Katzfey We can connect to QGC and VOXL2 with no issues. RC RX/TX are bound together. Pwr/Gnd/Data going to 3 pins on J19 as per diagram. PX4-LISTENER INPUT_RC yields no results -1rssi.
In the RC tab of QGC there is no response when attempting to calibrate or even Spektrum bind. Game pad works just fine with connected.

We were able to resolve the issue. We went to /etc/modalai/voxl-px4.conf and changed the RC params to Spektrum.
