# Voxl Esc v2 with Flight Deck

Hello All, 

I have a Voxl Esc v2 that I am trying to use along with the flight deck.  The [documentation](https://docs.modalai.com/modal-esc-px4-user-guide/) says that a developer firmware is needed to get this setup operational.  Where do I access this new firmware?  I have not found the standard firmware (booted through QGC) to control the motors when connected to this speed controller.

Flight Core supports the VOXL ESC. You can find details on how to load the custom version here: https://docs.modalai.com/flight-core-firmware/
