# PX4 Beta Sofware

Hi, I ordered the Starling 2 Max and when we tried to connect to the drone via wi-fi, we found that the PX4 software was the beta version, which didn't allow us to connect to the drone and we had to write up our own software. Is this supposed to be the case for the software for the PX4? Is there a way to rectify this? Thank you!

Unfortunately this is all the information I have as I struggled to reconnect to the drone.

I'm not sure I understand your issue. Can you connect via USB cable to `adb` into the drone? When you say PX4 is beta version, do you mean the VOXL SDK is a beta version? Can you provide the version numbers? What software did you write that enabled you to connect to the drone?

I'm asking on behalf of my boss, I'm not the most technical person, my apologies. And yes, sorry, I meant the VOXL SDK, this is what my boss got "VOXL SDK (voxl-suite) 1.6.4~beta5". The software to connect to the drone was written by Claude and I don't have it with me to send to you unfortunately.

Unfortunately, with the provided information there is no way to know what the problem is. If you can provide the software created by Claude that would probably help explain things a lot better.

I mainly just want to know if the software should be the beta software, I would think that the VOXL software should have been a stable release. Is there a chance at all that we could set up a meeting to discuss it with my boss instead so that you would have a technical person who understands better?

Yes, the beta release is fine. It was beta only for some features that are not used on our development drones. Otherwise it was a stable release.
