Hi,

Our lab uses 5 Seeker drones for research purposes, and we’ve noticed that the documentation for this drone appears to have been deprecated.
Right now, the only page regarding Seeker I can find is the quick start page https://docs.modalai.com/seeker-hardware-quickstart/#seeker-hardware-quickstart

This information used to be listed under the legacy drones section of the user guide. Could you please let me know where we can find the full user guide and datasheet so we can download them for our reference?

Thank you!

Additionally, where can I buy the propeller replacements? It's not here https://www.modalai.com/search?page=1&q=propeller

@Mason-N , sorry for the delay. Please contact us via https://www.modalai.com/pages/contact-us for spare parts you cant find in the shop.

For 5-in Seeker, the propellers are the following, so you can purchase them directly from other vendors if you wish : HQProp DP5.1X4.1X3 3-blade 5.1In Poly Carbonate Propeller (it looks like we do have some in stock, as well)

Also, checking on the documentation...

Alex

@Alex-Kushleyev
Hi Alex,

Sorry I wasn't clear before, by '5 Seeker' I mean five drones named seeker. Below is the picture of them:

The propellers you shared have 3 blades and the ones we have have 2.

Please let me know where I can find replacement propellers and documents for them.

Best,
Mason

Hi @Mason-N ,

OK, let me check again. Can you measure the diameter of the propellers that you have (it should be two types, it looks like) and let me know?

Alex

The old seeker documentation can be found in the docs source here : https://gitlab.com/voxl-public/support/documentation/-/blob/master/docs/999-Hidden/51-seeker.md (gitlab should render the markdown). Please let me know if there is anything else that you cant find.

Hi @Alex-Kushleyev ,

Thank you, the propellers are all identical, with a length of 6in.

As for the documents, the quickstart page is also live on the documentation page: https://docs.modalai.com/seeker-hardware-quickstart/#seeker-hardware-quickstart
Maybe I missed it, but where can I find a more detailed tech datasheet? It used to be like this:
![6c0ce64c-6fb4-4572-86ac-073d54914eb3-image.png](https://forum.modalai.com/assets/uploads/files/1779307405098-6c0ce64c-6fb4-4572-86ac-073d54914eb3-image.png)

The 'datasheet' link on GitLab gives the error 'seeker-datasheet does not exist on masters': https://gitlab.com/voxl-public/support/documentation/-/blob/master/docs/999-Hidden/datasheets.md?ref_type=heads
Which branch should I check next?

There used to be a complete user guide + datasheet for seekers before, I think, in the spring of 2025, when I followed them to set up things.

We are looking for those guides for future students using the drones, and the technical docs (electrical schematic, I/O ports, parts info, etc) for any future modifications at the university.

Thank you!
Mason

Hello @Mason-N ,

Going back in git history, I was able to find the seeker documentation. I think this is what you are looking for:

These are the propellers that were used for that drone https://www.getfpv.com/lumenier-6x4-slow-flyer-propeller-set-of-4-clear.html
