# Recommendations on Custom Build

We are working on building a custom quadcopter around the VOXL 2 compute platform, and were hoping to receive some advice on the selection of accessories.
We would prefer to select components that have a proven track record of compatibility with the VOXL 2.

**Vision (for onboard object detection)**
We are considering a multi-camera approach using either
* [High-res camera](https://www.modalai.com/collections/image-sensors/products/msu-m0107?variant=45747768590640)
* [Global shutter camera](https://www.modalai.com/products/msu-m0166?variant=49502253908272)
With different lenses
*Question: Does the [Global shutter camera](https://www.modalai.com/products/msu-m0166?variant=49502253908272) also include a removable lens?*

**Data Radio (for 2-way control and telemetry communication with GCS)**
We are looking at the Microhard data radios
*Question: for relatively low-datarate comms (no video transmission) at ranges of up to 2km is the [2.4 GHz](https://www.microhardcorp.com/pMDDL2450.php) microhard or the [1800 MHz](https://www.microhardcorp.com/pDDL1800.php) preferable? Also is the [900 MHz](https://www.microhardcorp.com/P900.php) version compatible with the VOXL 2 ecosystem as well?*

**GNSS System**
*Are all GNSS receivers listed on the [PX4 page](https://docs.px4.io/main/en/gps_compass/rtk_gps) with a uart connection compatible with the VOXL 2 or is it more nuanced?*
Any specific recommendations on GNSS modules that are easy to integrate are appreciated. 

**Key requirements:**
* Autonomous outdoor navigation with GNSS
* Control and telemetry monitoring from a ground control station at ranges of 0.5-2 km
* Onboard visual object detection of objects at a range of up to 200 m
* No VIO
