# Qmicli, mmcli, mbicli Breaks voxl-modem

I am using a roaming 5G sim card with the Voxl2 5G modem carrier board. I'd like to get info on which carrier I am currently connected to, but when I run any of the following commands, ```voxl-modem``` immediately breaks and I either need to reconfigure the modem or reboot the voxl:
```
mbimcli -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --query-registration-state
qmicli -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --nas-get-serving-system
mmcli -m 0
```
How can I view the 4G/5G connections without breaking ```voxl-modem``` and having to reconfigure?
