I have a question about the Starling 2 Max and its default settings that it is shipped with. Is there an implementation of the GPS-denied navigation already developed out of the box or is it something that we will have to implement?

I think it should come with gps denied navigation configuration out of the box, you can verify and set it up yourself here:
