what is the recommended mating connector for the M0173 micocoax connector? I assume both J6 and J7 need to be connected for full functionality.

Yes, M0173 requires both J6 and J7 to operate as designed.
The uCoax connectors are from Hirose as documented here: https://docs.modalai.com/micro-coax-user-guide/
