Hello,

I have an m500 with gimbal attached. I installed ffmpeg to run the gimbal, but now when I run the stream and try and watch it with VLC media player, the stream freezes in 1-2 seconds. Dronewise, its running the stream just fine according to its terminal outputs.

Tried running with QGC as well but the stream does not show there either

What are you using for your wireless connection? WiFi or Microhard? And can you see the stream in QGC for 1 or 2 seconds or not at all?

@Eric-Katzfey QGC is not at all, and I am using microhard for the wirelesss connection which has been working fine for the rtsp cameras

I would switch to a USB Ethernet dongle to do your debugging. Then you don't have to worry about wireless connectivity. Then I would recommend trying to get it working with QGC. Later versions of QGC may not work on certain versions of OS. What OS / version are you using to host QGC?

@Daniel-Ryu Actually, I was referring to the host system. For example, is QGC running on Ubuntu 18.04 or Mac OSX or ?

@Eric-Katzfey Ubuntu 20.04

@Daniel-Ryu Okay, thanks! What type of camera are you using in the gimbal?

@Eric-Katzfey I normally test with Logitech C270, QGroundControl v4.1.1, and Ubuntu 20.04

@Eric-Katzfey The gimbal camera I have was the default that came with the drone when I purchased it, I believe its some version of Arducam? I'll download your version of QGC and try testing with that

@Daniel-Ryu The other thing you can do is use the ```tcpdump``` command on Voxl to verify that you can see the video packets being sent from ffmpeg. Another idea is to have ```dmesh -wH``` open in another session to see if the kernel reports any issues.

@Eric-Katzfey I'll do that, thanks!
