# MAVROS: `waiting for offboard mode` still loading

Hello,

I hope you are well. I am following the [How to Run MAVROS](https://docs.modalai.com/mavros/) tutorial. So far, I've been able to follow the entire tutorial without issues. I'm working on launching the simple-example demo by running the command `./run_mavros_test.sh`. 

I'm currently running this command on a VOXL2, but it is not mounted on any drone. The VOXL2 only has some image sensors attached, but that's it. Is the `waiting for offboard mode` still running because the VOXL2 is not connected to a drone?

@Denver-Bennett were you able to find a solution to this? same issue on our end
