# VOXL2 Remote ID

Hi,

I am new to the Remote ID rule that the FAA put out a couple of months ago. I had a few questions about the ```voxl-remote-id``` service.
1. From the instructions, the ```voxl-remote-id``` service generates a remote ID for you. To register new drones now, you need to add either a standard Remote ID or a broadcast Remote ID. Is this a standard Remote ID or a broadcast one? 
2. Does this remote ID change after a reboot? If so will we need to change our registration each time since the Remote ID is different with every bootup?
3. How do other parties see our broadcast information if not on softAP/Wifi? What if we were using our own radio network? For this case, is it better to buy our own out-of-the-box Remote ID broadcasting module?

@rohitpillai For remote ID, you need a wifi or bluetooth radio on board. voxl-remote-id uses WiFi. If you deviate from what we support, you will need to implement on your own or find another solution.
