# Unreliable ADB shell connection with M0054 board

Hello,

I have the Voxl2 M0054 Dev Kit (No cameras). ([Link](https://www.modalai.com/products/voxl-2?variant=39914779836467))
I am trying to access the board through ADB shell.
I have triple checked my connections and port. But the board is not always recognized as an ADB device. It randomly is recognized on powering on-off multiple times.

Also am not able to connect to the ADB every time when the USB expansion board is connected to the board([expansion board](https://www.modalai.com/products/m0078)).
(Have not done any major changes to think that voxl2 bricked)
Kindly help resolve this uncertainty.

@turtle We've seen this when there is a faulty MCBL-0001 https://docs.modalai.com/cable-datasheets/#mcbl-00001 which causes the voxl2 to power cycle. Do you have another cable you can swap it and test with?
