# Static IP for Ethernet Adapter

Hello!

I would like to configure the VOXL 2 to assign a specific static IP to an Ethernet adapter I have connected via a M0078 add-on board and the 0041 4-pin to USBA cable. I would think that putting the configuration in `/etc/network/interfaces` should work, but that seems to have no effect.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
