Hello, 

I have a couple of the extender cables https://www.modalai.com/collections/cables-1/products/m0036 

For my M0052 hires camera. voxl-camera-manager is not complaining, but voxl-portal does not show anything. 
I tried lowering framerate and resolution, but no dice. 

It works well with the original cable. Any ideas/suggestions or information I can provide?

I am from HW, so the best thing I can ask for now is have you tried other M0036 cables and can you confirm the flexes were not bent/creased during your installation?

For SW, to adjust the frame rate and resolution may not always actually lower the MIPI speeds. I'll have to ask someone from SW to respond for the proper way to do that, depending on your sensor. It is possible with the extra extension, you might be on the operating edge of some of the interfaces.

We are working on some application notes and guides on this, but here is a little snippet we have on this topic, purely from a HW viewpoint.

I'll ask someone from SW to chime in. Please forgive us, but we just went through a forum server update, and many of the notifications are down so not everyone gets these at the moment.

@Vinny No problem at all Vinny! And thank you for the quick response. 

We will probably just integrate a USB camera and utilize voxl-uvc-server. Not a huge deal, just wanted to poke around and see if it was possible. 
No cables were bent or creased. I have not tried other M0036 cables. Just the 14.5cm one.

We are focusing on improving our HW Design and Integration aspects.
