# VIO failure in indoor scenarios

Hi, 
I was hoping to know how to configure VIO such drone control failure in offboard mode can be avoided.
The issue is once VIO fails the drone is not switching back to manual mode and results the drone to fly to high altitudes and then crash after signal loss.
