voxl2 says it supports ros2, but ros2 needs better version of Linux, I guess, 22.04 for proper support. looks ros1 is better supported on voxl2. Ros2 has fully integrated DDS. Is there any example setting up DDS in voxl2 env?

No, but there should be no difference to any other Debian system. I think if you Google it, you should find what you are looking for.

From Google, I found this result which looks promising https://docs.ros.org/en/dashing/Installation/DDS-Implementations.html

Obviously, we have not tried this
