# QGC connection problem

We had the flight controller lose connection to the ESC's
To fix that I tried to redownload parameters.
We had multiple parameter download failures and now QGC cannot connect to the VOXL

We can see the board connect and add a comport, but is not recognized by QGC. 
It says on pX4 that there is likely a problem with the hardware at the OS level. How do we fix that?

@Chad-Sweet That worked! After I did the reinstall, it would not connect. I closed and reopened QGC, switched the usb cable, and then went into the auto-connect section of the general settings and disabled the NMEA GPS device drop-down.
