Sometimes our newer boards are lacking in full documentation, so thanks for your patience.
We have not publicly posted our uCoax pinouts and not sure yet if we plan to. For now it is required to use our full solution which is host adapters, cables, and sensor boards.
I'll bring it to the team. But, we are unlikely to open this up since in order for us to test the components, which are very fragile, they need to be bundled together and not separated, so it would actually cost us more (costing our customers more) to test units individually for customer designs.
Only the Coax cable we sell individually and that is pinned 1:1 with all 26 conductors present unlike some of the other COTS FPV systems.

However, for JST and other cable-to-board and board-to-board connectors, yes, we need to get that listed.
The pinout on J4 of M0201 (the replacement for M0153) is in the same Dronecode inspired format we use at ModalAI for UART + I2C, but in this case since it is not UART, it is 2 GPIOS.
So,
Pin 1 = 3.3V
Pin 2 = GPIO_1 (Undefined/Unavailable/Reserved for Future Use)
Pin 3 = GPIO_2 (Undefined/Unavailable/Reserved for Future Use)
Pin 4 = GIMBAL_I2C_SDA (3.3V Logic Levels, 2.2K pull-up resistor present)
Pin 5 = GIMBAL_I2C_SCL (3.3V Logic Levels, 2.2K pull-up resistor present)
Pin 6 = GND

Thanks for the follow-up. Here’s more information based on your questions:

Initial Binding: Initially, I ran voxl-elrs --bind, and it connected successfully to the transmitter without any issues. It would automatically reconnect after each power cycle as expected. However, after a period of use, this new behavior started happening where it no longer connects automatically after rebooting.

Controller Reboot: Rebooting the controller has not resolved the issue. When the drone is powered on, the receiver’s LED stays solid rather than blinking slowly as it should when searching for the transmitter, and rebooting the controller doesn’t seem to initiate the connection.

Intermittent Connection: Interestingly, there are times when, if I power on the drone before powering on the controller, the connection will establish without needing to reboot the receiver. However, this is inconsistent, and I still often have to physically unplug and replug the receiver to get it to connect.

Possible Driver Issue: As you suggested, it does seem like the driver might be getting stuck in the search process at times. Here’s the output you requested from cat /etc/modalai/voxl-px4.config

Hopefully, this helps to pinpoint what might be causing the issue. Thanks again for your assistance!

Is the development for M0157 - 1 complete and when would it be released? Along with the new MDK-M0173 product would M0157 module also be available for purchase along with that in future?

The M0157-1 uses a 8 pin JST-GH type connector MCBL-00105-1 for connecting between M0173 and the board itself. The schematics for this cable connector is not yet mentioned? Could you share the schematics?

I'm now at the point of setting up the ground station. These instructions say to use the Helix modem breakout board but I can't seem to find this part. Could someone let me know where I can buy it? Or are there alternative ways of setting up the GCS with the Starling 2 Max? Will take other suggestions.
